sanjeet is a Toronto-based artist, DJ and curator exploring the boundaries of sound, performance and collective experience. Their work approaches music through the lens of curating space, not simply performing within it. They care about the crowd, creating interactive moments and making room for connection, silliness and play.

Their DJ sets have been described as unhinged, unpredictable, sexy, fun and memorable. With a deep understanding of contemporary mixing culture, sanjeet draws heavily from scratch and turntablist traditions, treating the decks as an instrument and finding new ways to blend, double and cut tracks in real time. Their sets move fluidly between experimental electronics, ambient, bass, free jazz and club music.

As a producer and live artist, sanjeet explores South Asian diasporic memory alongside the experimental and electronic music that shaped them in Toronto. Their projects include sky god, an ambient brain dance live set; Punjabi Ambient Squad, a club-ready trio exploring South Asian dub and bass; and their solo work, which combines free jazz, found sound, live texture and self-produced material. They have also created remixes for the Inquilaab compilation, protest band LAL, South Asian drag artist Bijuriya and through their feminist punk band honeycreeper.

sanjeet has performed at MUTEK, Boiler Room and Toronto Pride, and has appeared on radio around the world, including broadcasts from Delhi, Oakland and Lisbon.

Alongside their artistic practice, sanjeet creates bespoke concerts centred on artists pushing the boundaries of music undr the name Outlet. They find unusual artists, spaces and platforms to demonstrate just how expansive electronic and experimental music can be. They are currently developing a South Asian-centred sample pack for the diaspora and an experimental radio-centred live project under the name BAWA.
